I just have seen that at new FwA challenge has started today ...its about "Doors & Windows"
Well, just recently I have created some ATCs for a new friend, I get to know Chris Francz on Flickr for a 1:1 trade - he is such an talented Artist I can tell and such an inspiration!

Challenge Quotable

Dear Blogger,

Simon Says Stamp has this week a challege about a lines from a favorite movie ... a sentiment on a stamp you keep meaning to use more or an inspirational quote to something a family member is always saying.

Well this has been verfy easy for me to find...
I do love Jane Austen, well she is a writer but most of her work has been picturized.
My absolute favorite Movie is the classic novel  "Pride and Prejudice" produced 1995 by BBC with the marvelous Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and a fabolous Jennifer Ehle as Elisabeth Bennet.

"not one heardbeat do I forget" is actually a line from the movie "Lost in Austen" which is a well done parody on the Original just above mention 1995 BBC Production. So I mixed them together and her is my ATC I submitted for this challenge:

A children´s book for rainy days -

Dear Blogger,

today you get something real special!

March can often be a very wet month here where I live in Germany, rain pouring down regularly and so I thought -  how can  I keep the moods of my son up and persuade him to have a long walk in the rain well, ....maybe If I read him an amazing, adventure story (about walking in the rain) ??? ....Will this work -  so I have started to create my own Childrens (for my Son) book - so here is the first page...  (and by the way - it did work - so far *lol)

...and guess what? It also fits into the current SSSS Challenge about "Water" - which I have submitted  this piece of art.

The children´s book for rainy days is not finished yet ... but will be continued... and If you like I will share with YOU.

Mixed Media Steampunk Collage

Dear Blog fellow,

you may have been wondering what I have been doing the last couple of days. Since you may be already addicted to get some STEAMPUNK news from me :-) ....hahahaha

After I watched this over and over again - I just wanted to do my own Project "inspired by nature"
And here is my project in work in process:

Not sure if this is "really" the last step ... *lol  or if I may need to add some mor colour....
I had so much fun doing this.... so that it will for sure not be my last project in this style....
I am already thinking of trying it on canvas....

ATC Trade

My dear follower,

I do love to trade Artit Trade Cards (ATC)!
I just got this passion for ATC nearly one year ago and I am addicted to trade.

For those who doesn´t know what ATC is all about please allow me to explain:
Artist trading cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art  (2 1/2 inch by 3 1/2inch or 63mm x 89mm)  some kind of artist basketball cards you swap / trade around the world.

This Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals,  cloth and any textures. There is no limit!

The simple way to trade this work of art is to join a Trade Platform such as
Flickr or AFA or FwATCs (mainly German) just to name a few.

So here are my two ATCs I have done for a open Swap on AFA.
And Marilou I mail them today!

MMM DT Call

Hello MMM Team,

please find my contribution for your DT Call below.

Here some short summary how I have done it:
Insert:
1. first I did used my patina set to get this marvelous effect on my card.
2. then I did try embossed it  and cut out a circle
Top:
3. the basic is a piece of black card stock added some crackle paint and colour them
4. I brought both parts together and did drill down the paper.

Here is my result:

Eyes are the mirrow of the soul

for Try it on Tuesday

This week on the Try it on Tuesday challenge it is  "All About The Eyes".
So I have cut those eyes from a Magazin and transfered it on the tag.
Then I have used black gesso and a lot of Glimmer Mist.
Finally I have sanded the paper and just did the Glimmer mist again.
....Sentiments and here is the results. Hope you like it.
