Let´t talk about "textured"... a step by step tutorial

Dear Blogger fellows,

I have been ask several time how I do my textured background. I don´t want to keep you in incertitude any longer and will explain today, step by step,  how I have been doing it...

1. In my opinion textured needs some solid basic... so choose your basic well.

2. Paint the background with acrylic paint (black or white) it will lightly shine through your project.

3. After the Paint is completely dry you can now add your Texture ( I have been using Marabu light structure past, but Americana texturizing Medium or any similar texture paste would work)

4. Now it´s time to structure your project...: So I have been using stencil and stamps to bring some 3D effect on my card.

5. Let it best try for 24 hours before you start to colour it

and here are some example how it looks like depending what colour you using:
coloured with Glimmer Mist

coloured with alcohol ink and blending solution

coloured with cupper gilding wax

painted with Acrylics and added some leaf of gold metal flakes

I really hope you did enjoy my first tutorial and looking very much forward to see some of your textured Project maybe on our STEAMPUNK CHALLENGE which starts tomorrow ... gosh so exited about it!
Thank you for watching my blog and your comments.

XOXO
SanDee

  8. Liebe Sandra,
